The Jamerson's Story
The Haven in Allyn was opened in 2007 by Debra Jamerson and her husband Ronald. Debra brings extensive healthcare experience to the facility, having worked in various healthcare settings such as ICU, ER, Pre and Post Surgery, Home Health, and Hospice. Prior to opening the Haven, Debra also worked as a nursing instructor and a real estate agent.
Debra and Ron moved to Washington State in 2005 in search of a new purpose. Debra relied on her relationship with God to guide her to where she belonged. In 2006, while teaching nursing students at Olympic College in Shelton, Debra recalled her experience working in a nursing home at the age of 19. She remembered her efforts to clean up the facility and create a warm and welcoming environment that fostered a sense of community and provided care to all the residents with dignity.
With a passion for providing quality care for seniors, Debra started the Haven in Allyn with no staff and only two residents. Today, the Haven is home to 16 residents and employs a staff of 20+. As the Director of Resident Care and Co-Owner of the Haven, Debra is committed to ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.
Ronald and Debra have been happily married for 41 years and share five daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In their free time, they enjoy traveling the world, fishing, and spending quality time together.
At the Haven in Allyn, we believe that care is our top priority. We take pride in our commitment to providing exceptional care for our residents and creating a warm and welcoming environment where they can feel at home. We are dedicated to providing personalized care and attention to each resident, and we look forward to welcoming you to our community.
